Merge?

[edit]

@Aa77zz:

I saw your edit in Avignon. Just wondering, do you want to merge the text into this page? Seems it's worthwhile merging, as this article doesn't cover all the "deleted" text in "Avignon". SzMithrandir (talk) 15:13, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, the deleted section should obviously be merged into this article. I had assumed, obviously wrongly, that this article would contain all the detail in the Avignon article. I'll put it on my "to do" list. I plan to eventually spend some time on the Avignon article (I want to be able to remove the Refimprove and Expand French tags at the top of the page). Thanks for alerting me. Aa77zz (talk) 15:36, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've now looked carefully at the text of the deleted Avignon paragraphs and found that there was no information present that was not also present here. Some of the wording was slightly different and the some of the text had been altered to avoid having a list as used in the 13th century section of this article. The Avignon paragraphs did not mention the Later Councils that are included here. Aa77zz (talk) 16:58, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've now pasted in some of the text from the Avignon paras as it flows better and avoids lists. Aa77zz (talk) 17:14, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
