Rejected Changes

[edit]

I was wondering why my changes and CDagg96 got reverted I felt like it was a reasonable section to add as the NetworkX section is very small and could use some work such as showing how to install, implement and different layouts. I (ArjunB0406), CDagg96, Aidan123Rogers were going to add these sections and at the end were going to explain which layouts would be good to view for Cosegregation. Could you please let us know what we could change to keep our changes up. ArjunB0406 (talk) 16:07, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

@ArjunB0406: Your changes were rejected because they amounted to a how-to guide on how to use the NetworkX Python extension. Wikipedia is not a how to guide. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:12, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@WikiDan61 I have made the changes hopefully it doesn't seem like its a how-to-guide anymore. Thank you ArjunB0406 (talk) 18:52, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@ArjunB0406: You've added lots of different network graph types, all generated by NetworkX, but you haven't given any evidence that any of these graph types are used by (or useful to) geneticists. I'd expect to see a citation to the use of each graph type in a work about cosegregation. If not, then the material is superfluous in this article. @ArjunB0406: Further, I've deleted the "Best graphs for cosegregation analysis" section, as this appears to have been pure original research. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:42, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@WikiDan61 We will make those changes by sometime tomorrow. Hopefully you can keep it up till like 8pm tomorrow night that’s when the changes should be made by. ~2026-24809-15 (talk) 15:43, 22 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
