  • Article was recently expanded from a redirect. It is long enough for DYK and generally in reasonable shape, though I think it might be worth doing some basic polishing-up before it hits the main page. In particular:
  • Could it be given e.g. a clearer structure, a short description, perhaps an image/infobox if appropriate?
  • There are places where more details would help:
  • I found the coverage of the actual killing a little brief, particularly in terms of who was on what side and where the state was involved: were Christiaan Siebert Rorich and Thlomedi Ephraim Mfalapitsa agents of the Security Branch?
  • Why was there a charge of kidnapping, if the activists went to the place of their deaths willingly (albeit under false pretences)?
  • Had the Security Branch previously prepared the place to blow up?
  • Why did the TRC decide that the crime wasn't political?

QPQ is done and there are no evident plagiarism or BLP concerns, though this article does come within the BLP policies. I think ALT0 is an excellent hook and look forward to seeing it on the front page, once these (admittedly subjective and firmly cr. 10) issues are addressed. • UndercoverClassicist I expanded and reorganized the article to make its structure make more sense. None of the sources give more insight into the kidnapping charge and the details provided about the actual killing are limited. Also, there is no reason that I can find that the TRC granted amnesty to some of the involved SB members but not others. (t · c) buidhe 05:52, 11 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Buidhe: When googling online some sources like this use "COSAS Four" which would make sense since the article Congress of South African Students includes the acronym COSAS. Sahaib (talk) 18:48, 3 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
