Terminology

[edit]

The article starts out defining cornering force, but then only talks about tire force, tire lateral force, and total tire force without defining them nor relating them to cornering force. Any ideas? -AndrewDressel (talk) 13:29, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now, the lede has been changed to define tire force and only defines cornering force second. However, Pacejka defines side force (pg 4) and cornering force (pg 96) as synonyms and brake force (pg 4), but not tire force. Since the article it titled "cornering force", I am going to change the lede back. If references are found to define "tire force" then perhaps the article should be moved or renamed. -AndrewDressel (talk) 22:54, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
