Population figures - closure of mines

[edit]

"....mining had dropped to 0% due to the closing of the mining industry in 1984."

Might it read better to say no residents were engaged in mining? It would be appreciated knowing where the particular mining industry was located as the last colliery in Shropshire, the Granville near Telford, closed in the 1970s.Cloptonson (talk) 05:48, 12 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Local businesses section - not relevant

[edit]

The section on Local businesses only gives two enterprises that are are apparently not based in the bounds of the civil parish (golf course in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, and an electricians in Ludlow). I would delete them on the grounds of irrelevancy to the article subject but will hang fire in case there is a reason.Cloptonson (talk) 05:56, 6 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

No objections having been raised in the intervening 2 years, I have now deleted the section.Cloptonson (talk) 18:25, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
