Use as a home for the Royalist Members of the English Parliament
[edit]'In 1665 and 1681, during the reign of Charles II, the chamber served as home for the Royalist Members of the English Parliament.'
Weren't they all royalist? I don't think it was even legal to be a republican after the English Civil War. Perhaps there is some confusion with the Civil War, when Oxford was the royalist headquarters, and royalist members that had abandoned the Long Parliament to join the King resided there? ~2026-41408-0 (talk) 19:19, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
