Contra is in-kind media sponsorship

For decades, "contra" has been used a business term to describe in-kind sponsorship. I suspect it flows from the word's Latin origin, but I was disappointed not to see the business use as part of the disambiguation page for the term. It is particularly common as a business term in the media business, where advertising is more often traded for non-cash considerations. ~2026-59895-0 (talk) 01:06, 28 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
