"List of notable contortionists"
[edit]This section does not look good: it lacks the introduction that should have explained the reasons for selection of particular performers(cf. MOS:LISTINTRO), has potentially nearly unlimited size (cf. Category:Contortionists that has almost 40 articles of notable contortionists and out list of 18 people plus two red links). IMHO the section shall be rewritten using some source with the list of most know contortionists or deleted altogether. Викидим (talk) 06:19, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- I removed a number of people who did not have their own page and re-alphabetized. Here are the people I removed with their cites they can be added it once they have their own pages.
- Julia Akmaletdinova, also known as Zlata, is renowned for her extreme and versatile flexibility. She pioneered the production of contortion media online as a performer and model. She remains a key figure as both a photographer and mentor.[1]
- Alina Ruppel is known for being the first person to successfully achieve the eponymous Ruppel fold.
- Jordan McKnight is regarded as the first contortionist to achieve a Ruppel bend after Alina Ruppel and has performed internationally.[2]
- Lisbeth Mikoleit is noted for her creative choreography and experimental approach to contortion.[3]
- Tsetseglen Odgerel is recognized as both a highly skilled contortionist and a designer of circus costumes sought after in the performing arts community
- Emerald Gordon Wulf – an American contortionist known for her television appearances on shows such as America's Got Talent and for performing internationally, noted for her exceptional flexibility.[4]

Glossary
[edit]Wikipedia can link to Wiktionary. I think the information in the glossary should be moved to Wiktionary. It will do more people more good there.
Does anyone object to me movint the glossery definitions into Wiktionary? Mark (talk) 23:16, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- The glossary list is specific and useful to the article, and is perfectly acceptable per WP:GLOSSARIES.--☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 23:29, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
