[edit]Wait a minute, was the constitution not established in 1874?
It has been changed (way to often) since then, but it is essentially the same constitution am I not right? That is at least what I learned in school.
- It's correct that Iceland's first constitution was established in 1874 and that it still forms the basis of the current one. There have actually been three separate constitutions in Iceland, the first one from 1874 to 1920, the second one from 1920 to 1944 and the third one from 1944 to the present day. --Bjarki 02:12, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Althing or Althingi?
[edit]Is the national parliament the Althing or the Althingi? The usage differs throughout section 2 subsections. It will be helpful to agree on one spelling. Thanks! --Lbeaumont (talk) 18:10, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
