Cleanup suggestions

I'm new to Wikipedia so I'm not sure if there's a policy one way or the other, but my instinct is that not every article and section needs to be here verbatim. A little summary with any particular significance explained should suffice. I imagine this isn't a high-traffic article though.

I did move the one-sentence transition section to a background section at the top of the article. This should give the context (Reconstruction and such), relevant information about the drafting of the constitution, etc. The existing sentence also needs expansion since it doesn't explain how long the transition was or how smoothly it went.

Hopefully someone comes along who's interested in the topic and will find my suggestions useful. Recognizance (talk) 19:22, 15 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
