How (and why) did he end up in the hands of the Gestapo?

The article never states any information as to the who, what, when, where, why and how Chevillon became a hostage (or was he a prisoner) of the Gestapo.

Can someone clarify this discrepancy, please?

I am curious of the same thing. I would offer this as an observation: The Nazis not only hunted down Jews and French Resistance cells, they specifically targeted Freemasons and Occultists wherever they went, which is a separate matter entirely. Lyons was under the jurisdiction of one Klaus Barbie, who among other things was quite efficient in hunting down the latter two. Indeed, he was the one who had the Grand Master of the Netherlands arrested and carted off to the concentration camps prior to his Lyons assignment (the Wikipedia entry for Klaus Barbie explains this in a little more detail). That being said, I can only offer the possibility that the same Barbie was instrumental in hunting down and executing such a high grade Occultist as Chevillon.
