You seem to have run out of trees. Bgsu98 (Talk) 14:26, 24 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hell no (as a lumberjack would say). There are plenty left out there. But the Pinaceae are looking a bit thinned out, yes! Chiswick Chap (talk) 16:06, 24 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Lead
  • Recommend wikilinking "Ancient Greece".
    • Done.
Description
  • This phrase – "leaves lower down on the plant two or more pinnate" – reads awkwardly and is unclear. Is there word missing?
    • Edited. It was actually correct but a bit too clever.
  • Recommend wikilinking "rays" or otherwise explaining its meaning in this context.
    • Glossed.
      • I see now it was already there: "Each umbel is a circular cluster of ten to twenty rays, the short stems 1 to 3.5 cm long, radiating out from its center." I misread the sentence.
Similar species
  • Recommend wikilinking "tuber" and "taproot".
    • Done.
Names
  • Henry V should be italicized and wikilinked.
    • Done.
  • Change US to U.S.
    • Edited.
Distribution and habitat
  • Recommend wikilinking "invasive species", especially if there is a target for invasive plants.
    • Done.
Toxicology
  • Recommend de-wikilinking "sheep".
    • Done.
Uses
  • Recommend wikilinking "Medieval Europe" as a more specific target than just Medieval.
    • Done.
  • Recommend wikilinking Saturn.
    • Done.

User:Chiswick Chap: This article is very well written, as you can see by the small number of comments I have. Please let me know when you have a chance to go through these, and I will do the source and image reviews as soon as I can. Let me know if you have any questions! User:Bgsu98: All done to date. Chiswick Chap (talk) 16:19, 24 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Image review (9/24/25)

[edit]
  • Images have appropriate licenses and captions. I again strongly suggest you add appropriate alt-text when you have a chance. Some of the images do have alt-text already, but some do not. I added the alt-text to the image in the infobox because many editors forget about that one.

Source review (9/24/25)

[edit]
  • Random spot check of references checks out.
  • Formatting of sources is consistent. I personally recommend wikilinking sources (such as newspapers), but that is a personal preference. I also recommend archiving sources, which is beyond the scope of the GA, but is still good practice.

User:Chiswick Chap: This article is very well written! I'm happy to pass this GA. I still encourage you to add alt-text to the images when you have a chance. Bgsu98 (Talk) 16:32, 24 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
