Renaming objection

Anachronist I strongly disagree with your renaming an article that has existed as Ivoryton Playhouse since 2007, and is far better known as a well-known theater than as a historic building. I recommend you revert your name change and restore content about the theater, albeit without the laudatory phrases. David notMD (talk) 20:24, 4 November 2022 (UTC)

@David notMD: @Blue Water: The sources are all about the building. The theatre is mentioned as an alternate name in the sources. The content I removed seemed to have been copied and pasted from one of the sources. I also revised the article because it followed the exact recommended format of various "get your business on Wikipedia" youtube videos, which basically say "write about the building" to make the article notable, and that provides the opportunity for the occupant of the building to promote themselves. That is exactly what was done here. Sorry, no. The fact that it's been like this since 2007 is irrelevant. There are millions of Wikipedia articles and the comparatively tiny fraction of active editors cannot monitor them all. ~Anachronist (talk) 02:18, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
