How does this differ from a "compression fitting" composed of a nut-body-ferrule-seat arrangement?
[edit]I didnt see the word Ferrule anywhere on this page, and since the description and diagram are 1:1 identical, and the only possible difference might be that ferrules are typically only composed of "soft but still hard" material like brass or graphite (less often from elastomers, unless a high durometer elastomer), while the seals described here appear to include soft elastomers.~2026-86223-3 (talk) 08:57, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
