Open Questions

• Where did this term come from?
• Isn't it more a SOA related term than a general system design 'principle'?

This is a term I have seen used when authors of simulation papers try to show that at a high level, simulation of abstract reality has no use for interoperability, as that is a lower level function. In other words, this is a useless term, at least in that context. I would hope that it would simply mean, having the ability to be composed. Realtme101 (talk) 04:21, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Confusing

I encountered the term in a work context and couldn't make much sense of it. I came here to see if there was a simple explanation but it didn't really help. Can we explain it better? Is this specific to AI? Is it really as vague as it sounds here or is there a clearer meaning? DanielRigal (talk) 14:26, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
