Comparative vs. semblative issue
[edit]I've restructured a bit of this article to make it more in line with a standard linguistics page here, but there are a lot of theoretical/empirical things that need to be sorted. For example, the definition that is currently given is " is a grammatical case used to mark a likeness to something", which is a relic of the first draft of this article by User:ChiLlBeserker. From what I know about comparative case, it is used in two ways, (i) a distinct grammatical case which marks the noun serving as the standard of comparison (as seen in Chechen and Yakut), and (ii) a case suffix which marks that a noun is similar to something. The second definition is basically the Semblative case. Of course, because Uralicists use Comparative case for Mari, it needs to be included here, but we need to give some discussion of the differing senses of this term.
