References and notability

First, full disclosure, I edit Comics Revue. On the other hand, the list of artists published in Comics Revue should establish its notability: Jack Kirby, Hal Foster, Roy Crane, Charles Shulz, Harold Grey, and many others equally famous among comic book and comic strip fans.

There are very few publications that review comic books. I have added a reference section, and two reviews from Comics Buyers' Guide, one of the few publications that does review comics, as well as a Europen reviews. (Europeans rate American comic strips much more highly than Americans do.) Rick Norwood 12:45, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Removed quote in French

I removed this quote from the article:

Thanks for the translation. The article looks good. You've managed to avoid the pitfalls of conflict of interest. One thing that's missing is the date of publication of the first issue. Also, has it always been printed by Manuscript Press? If not, you might want to mention that in the article. How pages are in a typical issue? How many different strips are there in each issue? Do you collect entire runs at once? Story arcs? Or do you print any of these strips serially? (I think I know the answer to that, but you might want to check to make sure that it's spelled out in the article.) Those are some items off the top of my head. Longest running independent comic?

The statement that Comics Revue ran for more issues than Cerebus was removed, on the grounds that it is a reprint not new material. I have no objection. But the reason given was "Removed for two reasons: First, that Cerebus ran consecutively for those 300 and Comics Revue ceased publication for many years, and Second, that Comics Review *reprints* newspaper strips, and was not new material as Cerebus was." I wanted to point out to 107.204.184.238 that Comics Revue never ceased publication for many years, but was published continuously. Rick Norwood (talk) 12:16, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
