The Race's Males would be cold-blooded according to the description given of their experience in cold climates such as SSSR. This would mean that they would be lethargic and slow moving in cool climate, and their metabolism would nearly cease in Freezing temperatures. No mention of heated suits were given, though all buildings and vehicles were well heated. The reconaisance probe sent two thousand years earlier around 1100 AD (480 AH) would have reported world temperatures and distance from star Tosev, so the Race would have had plenty of warning to prepare for surface conditions during the Conquest.
