It is not mentioned in the text and it's not clear what the relationship is between this film and the town beyond the name. Henry Miller buried?

Why does this page say Henry Miller is buried in one of Colma's cemetaries when the wiki page for him says he was cremated? Who is right?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.7.61.2 (talk) 07:22, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Don't know if you have figured out in the past eight years, but cremated ashes don't necessarily have to sit in an urn on the mantlepiece or be scattered into the sea. It's a perfectly normal procedure to have them buried in a cemetery. --93.212.240.148 (talk) 14:11, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

BART trains that serve Colma Station

The only two bart trains that pass thru Colma are the SFO Airport/Pittsburg Bay Point and the Richmond/Millbrae Line

Spelling "Hienrich"

Can someone please confirm the spelling of Hienrich von Kempf?
It appears to be a German name, and the German given name is Heinrich. There are local variants like Hinrich, but I've never seen the spelling Hienrich. --93.212.240.148 (talk) 14:03, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

The rest of the remains from the Masonic Cemetery were moved to Woodlawn Cemetery in Colma. In 1901, the cemetery was forced out of San Francisco and the thirty five thousand (35,000) buried at Laurel Hill were moved to Cypress Lawn in Colma....In June of 1901 and unknown number of bodies from Laurel Hill were moved to the Japanese Cemetery in Colma. In 1901 an unknown number of bodies were moved from Laurel Hill Cemetery in San Francisco were moved to the Serbian Cemetery in Colma. Final and complete removal of all remains at San Francisco's Laurel Hill Cemetery began in 1939. Chinese Cemetery...remains were moved to Golden Gate Cemetery sometime after 1868. The Odd Fellow's Cemetery was originally a subdivision of Lone Mountain Cemetery. The cemetery was legally deeded by Samuel Brannan to the first Lodge established in the city in 1851, for the perpetual use of the Order. The exact location of the Greek Cemetery, as it was called, was between Turk street on the north, Parker street on the east, North Willard on the west and the extension of Golden Gate avenue on the south and it was owned by the Greek Cemetery Association which paid $17,000 for it, intending that it should always be used as a last place of rest for dead Greeks. Around 1887, over 60 of the monuments and tombstones were taken away with the bodies and buried in the City Cemetery.
