Convention

Isn't it the convention that the bLue (Left) and Red (Right) players go first and second, respectively, in combinatorial games? In On Numbers and Games, printed in black and white, it's first/left/black and second/right/white, but in the Winning Ways books, this seems to be the convention for combinatorial games presented in color.
