notability

[edit]

i know i trimmed some material, but even with it added back in, how does this topic justify an article? if there was an historic occurrence on that street that is noted regularly in the town, maybe. the material removed didnt establish notability at all. the news story may not be enough.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 20:15, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hatch Mansfield

[edit]

A circa 1903 price list of the famous wine merchant Hatch Mansfield (the catalogue surviving in the records of Corpus Christi College Cambridge), gives its address as “1, Cockspur Street, London, S.W.” JDAWiseman (talk) 17:19, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Origin of name.

[edit]

I am very interested in etymology (which I frequently look up) and, recently, particularly in street names. I expected to find reference to this in the article. I hope someone can add this missing information. Jmacped (talk) 06:59, 8 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
