[edit]Coccygotomy was a widely used operation after it was introduced by James Simpson in 1859, but after about 1910 it fell largely into disuse, coccygectomy being used instead. Note I am the author of the reference A history of coccydynia. Jchmiles (talk) 07:55, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
