Operation Cumulus

[edit]

No mention of Operation Cumulus of 1952 on the article. I think that's something that might be worth talking about as it was hidden by the UK government for years until a pilot spoke out and the papers were released.

Is cloud seeding effective?

[edit]

The effectiveness section really makes it seem like this doesn't work (it's a list of studies saying cloud seeding does not work) but the article makes it seem like it does; it is not written like an article about a pseudoscientific/unsupported practice. Are there missing studies that support the practice? Kavigupta (talk) 05:01, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

I noticed the same thing. The article needs a lot of work when it comes to neutrality. Words like "serendipitous" are loaded. ~2026-39007-15 (talk) 19:55, 8 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

table salt

[edit]

Table salt is mostly sodium chloride and sodium is harmful to soil. Dumping large amounts of it on land over time might lead to excessive salinization. This is a serious agricultural issue. If, as the article suggests, table salt is being strongly considered (or already used), there needs to be sound replicated research that shows that soil damage will not be significant. ~2026-39007-15 (talk) 19:58, 8 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
