I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Please make the lead start more gently so it is palatable to scientific novices. For instance, look at Orthotropic material which has both a nice image as well as a gentler explanation. The article could also do with a "See also" section, also see the orthotropic page.

I believe that there is a very important mistake in how the Cij tensor is defined: there are factors 2 missing for the shear components in Voigt notation (highlighted in red below). If this is verified, could Davius please correct the entry?
