Adding CTRL + L

[edit]

Shouldn't "The control key command Ctrl+L has the same effect." be added, even though it doesn't always apply to every terminal? Why doesn't someone (who knows more than I do) add for what terminals it does work rather than just blatantly removing it. --BiT (talk) 21:43, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

No - first because it's misleading (only applies to a few terminals), and also because it's a digression (a stray comment tangentially related to the topic). For instance, it is not true of a vt100 emulator (it is true for PuTTY and Sun console, neither of which qualifies as a vt100 emulator). I pointed this out on comp.lang.c a while back Tedickey (talk) 22:07, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Animated GIF

[edit]

Is the animated GIF really necessary to illustrate how to type "clear" into the console and press enter? It seems overkill to say the list. --Blasterman 95 (talk) 00:10, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
