About first photo caption

[edit]

The first photo in this article of a woman washing her hands says "An Asian Woman washing her hands at a sink" or something similar, and im just curious if Wikipedia typically lists the races of people in photos or if this is a little unnecessary and irrelevant. I imagine if it was a white person washing their hands in the photo it wouldn't say "a white woman washing her hands in the sink" but I genuinely don't know if a typical Wikipedia page would actually include this information . I'm not spazzing out and accusing this of being racist or whatever it just seems like an unnecessary detail ~2026-26959-81 (talk) 19:32, 4 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
