changing taxonomy

[edit]

Hi fellow Wikipedia-ers! I was doing a project on cleaner shrimp and noticed that the scientific article on taxonomy contradicted the wiki, so I updated the wiki... and then lo and behold, it needs more updates. The most recent paper on shrimp taxonomy lists 6 families, but two have been merged, and another was split into four, and of those four, I don't know how many have cleaner shrimp. So, the current wiki lacks an actual list of the families that include cleaner shrimp. If anyone is able to track down the article that split Hippolytidae, it'd be a big help! :0) Ieatfishfood (talk) 02:39, 26 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
