While the topic of this page is classical probability density, this topic crops up more often in quantum mechanics as a means connect a quantum system to the classical limit by the correspondence principle. I added the Template:Classical mechanics heading to the page since this is technically all encompassed by classical physics, but it is most often encountered while studying quantum mechanics.
