• What a fascinating article and very hooky!! New enough/long enough, QPQs done, no apparent copyvio. Presentable (one note - there seems to be a small formatting error in the external links section), NPOV, and reliably sourced throughout. Hook facts are in article and check out with sources. I think ALT0 and ALT1 are fine but could be trimmed to make them a little hookier, a la ALT1a: ... that a New York City ferryboat shot down two enemy aircraft in World War II? I am approving all hooks (and my ALT should be good to go as well since it doesn't introduce any new facts). Dclemens1971 (talk) 17:51, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

• Sorry, but AFAICT the sources state the ship took part in half a dozen landings, not "battles". Landings are not necessarily contested, so unless sources are added to confirm these were actual combat engagements, I think the hook will need a degree of adjustment. Lead image

@TheFeds, good catch regarding the lead image, I didn't realize that this was not Circle Line X. The real Circle Line X is pictured here on Circle Line's website, and in theory, should be located at "Pier 83 and West 42nd Street" in Manhattan.

Unfortunately, when I went to Pier 83 back in December, Circle Line X was nowhere to be found (only some of Circle Line's newer fleet). I don't think it'd be possible to take an image until the vessel gets turned into a museum at some point. – Epicgenius (talk) 05:09, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
