June 2024 photo

October 2025 photo

Since Cactoideae (talk · contribs) maintains that the previous photo is inferior, I'm opening it up for consensus here.

Previously, the infobox for this article used the photo of Chuu from June 2024. On October 20, user Jjpachano (talk · contribs) replaced the image with the October 2025 photo, describing it as better than the prior image. After I changed it back to the previous image, they reverted the change.

I contest the idea that the newer image is better than the previous: the photo is darker, blurrier, has more shadows, is taken at a further distance and a less straight-on angle, and there's less distinction between the subject and the background. The only upside of the newer photo is that it's, well, newer. But Chuu's appearance has stayed relatively the same between the 16 months the pictures were taken, so that alone isn't enough. I think the June 2024 photo does better to depict Chuu's appearance, as well as being much clearer at thumbnail size. asex twin^{talk · contribs.} 01:36, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Originally used June 2024 photo

The image you've captioned June 2024 is not the photo used before the October 2025 photo for this article, and you did not change it back to this image. Here is the previous image used. I'm fine with this June 2024 photo (LOONA Chuu June 2024 (1).jpg) or the October 2025 (20251002 Chuu 츄 03.jpg) being used but hold that the image you are introducing has lightning issues and should not be used. My preference is ultimately the the October 2025 as I find it perfectly acceptable for the article and it's more recent. — Cactoideae♫♪ (talk) 03:53, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

I don't get where you're coming from with the lighting; both of the June 2024 photos are lit evenly and are identical in terms of lighting, even if the right side of her chin looks slightly odd in the first. I'm fine with either of the 2024 pictures being used for the infobox—I prefer the image I (fortuitously) added for not including her hands (which slightly obstruct her face), but I'm okay with the original image for the lack of head tilt. I still think the 2025 photo is less fit for clearly depicting the appearance of the subject. This is me nitpicking, though. asex twin^{talk · contribs.} 04:13, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
