Spear?

Where did this come from?

Main article says she "either had sex or was raped" by Poseidon in Athena's temple. Every account so far says she was assaulted, she had shunned his advances. Where is the question coming from? Curious to know.69.178.21.17 (talk) 17:10, 6 May 2017 (UTC)

Hesiod's version (Theogony):

“...Sthenno, and Euryale, and Medousa who suffered a woeful fate: she was mortal, but the two were undying and grew not old. With her lay the Dark-haired One [Poseidon] in a soft meadow amid spring flowers. And when Perseus cut off her head, there sprang forth great Khrysaor and the horse Pegasos who is so called because he was born near the springs of Ocean; and that other, because he held a golden blade in his hands.”
