Shouldn't the band Divinyls be listed here? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_a_Life%21_%28album%29 for example.

Chrysalis Records and purchasing MP3 files

[edit]

I may be incorrect, but it appears that Chrysalis Records does not allow download purchases of individual tracks via legit music distributors (Napster, Walmart, Yahoo, etc).

I have only checked a few original Chrysalis artists, Jethro Tull, Robin Trower, IceHouse, but all seem unavailable. I vaugely remember seeing something in print that Ian Anderson didn't like the concept of selling his music on the web, but I am not sure if the unavailability stems from the artists or the Record label (both?).

My web search on this topic has yielded nil, but I am sure many others have wondered why.

Would anyone have some insight on this issue?

Thanks

Final release in 1991?

[edit]

This seems very wrong since I can name a number of releases with the Chrysalis imprint post 1991. That would include Gangstarr's third and fourth albums, the Jazzmataz series, Arrested Development's first and second albums, and Bahamadia. Somewhere in the mid to late 90s their Hip-Hop division completely shut down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Qahtani (talkcontribs) 10:40, 28 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
