Not in the United States

[edit]

He died 6 years before the United States was declared. He should not be in United States categories. I am not sure what the best categories to place him in are.John Pack Lambert (talk) 20:31, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

This would be a radical reorganization of the category structure you should probably run past by others first. Category:Murder in North America by country doesn't appear to distinguish by "older" countries, i.e. there aren't separate articles for "Murder in the Province of Canada", "Murder in the First Haitian Republic", etc. I don't think it makes sense to have separate category for "Murder in British America pre-1775" or the like. Move to "Death of Christopher Seider"?

[edit]

I wonder if, given how little is known about Seider's life, it would be appropriate to change the name of the article / move it to the name Death of Christopher Seider. I would be happy to take on rewording the article to make it about the event rather than a biography article, but it's a big enough change that I wanted to offer it up for discussion before pursuing it.
