2013 flash game

Having played this game myself, I don't think this is true. As I recall, Christopher Robin said he would be with Pooh always, and that Pooh was smarter, stronger and braver than he thought. It's seemingly implied that Christopher Robin has given Pooh the power to fight back, and to sever the evil that is corrupting Christopher Robins mind. Tharadun (talk) 10:58, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

WP:FANSITE

Fansites (and to a lesser extent Twitter) should not be used as references. They should be removed or replaced with better references. (The film has long since been released and serves as the primary source of the cast, so a source may not strictly be necessary at all anymore, while it would have been absolutely necessary before the film was released.) Also there is a spelling mistake in the young actor's name (the Infobox spells it correctly, the article text does not).

Only partially done. Spelling mistake in actor name still needs to be fixed. Orton O'Brien. My replace X with Y specifically fixed that too and I wrote out clearly in prose to explain that fix was also needed exactly to reduce the possible risk of this oversight happening! In Christopher Robin's list of Portrayals, the 2011 movie, Winnie the Pooh is listed as Winnie-the-Pooh, but the dashes are only used for the original books and never (that I remember) in the Disney adaptions; the 2011 movie is no exception as it is simply listed as "Winnie the Pooh". Not a fictional World War II veteran and not a fictional British Army personnel

I do not think we should categorize a main page on a character created in a book based on information added in later film adaptations or TV shows. If other editors really believed this the existence of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh would cause people to include Christopher Robin in the fictional American people category, but since the character in the book is not a fictional American I reject that. The other categories need to be limited to what we know from the book as well. This article does not even mention that the character Ewan McGregor played was a British World War II veteran. The fact that the real Christopher Robin Milne on whom the character in the book was patterned was a British World War II veteran is not relevant. It might be if A. A. Milne had first published the books much later when his child was born and so he could have made even oblique references to the future. The books were published in 1926 and 1928. A character created in those years cannot be a fictional World War II veteran, because even if a writer were to use that term in that year, it would mean something different than the actual war that happened. These categories do not belong. Categories should apply to all versions of the character. I am willing to overlook the English issue since The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh were ignored later in creating the film Christopher Robin. But I do not think the vereran issues are defining. I also thought the {{Citation needed}} tags were unhelpful but I couldn't be bothered to say so at the time. Where the tags have been removed the claims are all cited but descriptively, not with little square brackets around them. Thincat (talk) 20:18, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
