I could swear that it was Christopher Neame who made the first full-frontal male nude appearance on British TV, some time in the 1970s I think, but I can't find any reference to it. Does anyone else have any recollection of this? Deb 21:56, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

A naked Neame appears as Mark Antony in The Cleopatras (1983). His legs are rather inelegantly crossed to conceal his rude bits! BTLizard (talk) 12:41, 21 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hmm, could be that, I suppose, but I thought it was further back in time - I thought it was when I was still at school (which would make it pre-1974). But at my age, the memory plays tricks... Deb (talk) 17:31, 21 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Someone has since added an external link in the body copy, with link text making this same claim. The target website appears to be a fansite, which makes it an unreliable source. A better source is needed, and the citation must be formatted properly. In addition, the site makes no claim that he was the first, only that he appeared nude. If no better source is forthcoming, then the link and the claim must be removed from the article. 2603:9001:4500:1C09:9915:CC16:C0FC:147 (talk) 13:46, 30 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
