is he gay?

Have you ever seen the show?  :-) - 72.57.120.3 08:17, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
According to The NNDB, he is straight. He knew that a male interior designer would be called gay, so he just took the persona and ran with it. Really, who cares. I think his design ideas are fabulous. --Superluser 03:44, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

gayness and actual name

[edit]

Christopher Lowell came out as gay in 2010 and finally admitted his birth name is Richard Madden. Should the article be updated to show that? http://www.chuckandcletus2.com/article.php?sid=112  Preceding unsigned comment added by Schrammbo (talkcontribs) 00:07, 8 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Christopher Lowell Christopher LowellAKA Richard Lowell Madden Born: c. 1955 Gender: Male Race or Ethnicity: White Sexual orientation: Straight Occupation: TV Personality Nationality: United States Executive summary: Fabulous interior decorator Christopher Lowell, a gay-seeming interior decorator, has managed to build a huge following with his home design TV show. From the beginning, Lowell's goal was to pour on the gaiety: "We started out very over the top because we knew we needed to get the Saturday Night Lives of the world spoofing us." (Which they did, by the way, in May 2000.) Since then, Christopher Lowell has become a household name and even reached the pinnacle of B-grade celebrity: appearing on The Hollywood Squares. And like most Hollywood stars, that isn't his real name. Our hero was born Richard Lowell Madden, and was a member of the California Boys' Choir (as was Lenny Kravitz, incidentally).
