Past roadie?

I thought I remembered hearing that Cross had once worked as a roadie for another major act before his own singing career took off. If anyone can verify and get that info in, it would be interesting I'd think. I *thought* it was for Meatloaf...I seem to remember it being for an act that was musically a lot "edgier" than Cross was. GBrady (talk) 19:07, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

MTV and decline

The way I heard it, it had nothing to do with his music, but with the fact that the music industry became increasingly video-oriented throughout the 80s, and people just didn't wanna see a guy basically looking like Jack Black. --46.93.158.170 (talk) 02:45, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

What really stinks about this article is that there is absolutely nothing about his huge comeback in the 1990s, when he switched to rap, changed the spelling of his name to Kriss Kross, and hired those two kids to dance in his videos. Unsuitable subsection heading?

"This feat [winning the Big Four] was not replicated for 39 years, until Billie Eilish won all four awards at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2020." But in the Big Four entry it says that Norah Jones won the Big Four in 2003.

Technical information about Cross's very distinctive singing voice would be useful, since it's key to his success as a performer.
