Christmas Present (disambiguation) → Christmas Present – The disambiguation page should be at the base title per WP:MALPLACED (Christmas Present redirects to Christmas Present (disambiguation)). – Niceguyedc Go Huskies! 07:37, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Niceguyedc:This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:14, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- To most people, a Christmas Present is a Christmas present. Keep the " (disambiguation) ". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:14, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Move: it's established that there can be titles differentiated by capitalisation. PamD 11:00, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- Move. "Christmas present" should redirect to the dab too. We don't have an article on the topic, and gift doesn't have anything specific to Christmas gifts. Any links to Christmas present should be removed as overlinks to an every day term, per WP:OVERLINK, unless they are intended for a specific topic on the disambiguation page. wbm1058 (talk) 17:27, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- Just as we have no articles about birthday presents or wedding presents, neither do we have one on Christmas presents. Most presents can be given for any or all of these occasions. wbm1058 (talk) 17:32, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- Support. "Christmas Present," with caps, would refer to films, albums, and even a ghost, but not a gift given on Christmas. I'm not as sure that Christmas present should redirect to the dab, but that could be solved with a WP:RFD discussion. -- Tavix (talk) 18:31, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- Comment: The basis for this move was Birthday Party/Birthday party. Birthday Party is a disambiguation page and Birthday party is a redirect to a section of Party. This move would set up Christmas Present/Christmas present in the same way. -Niceguyedc Go Huskies! 00:16, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
