Former good article nomineeChris Benoit was a good articles nominee, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. There may be suggestions below for improving the article. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

Super J Cup 1994

[edit]

The "In Wrestling" section of the article states "Sharpshooter – 1998–2007", but at the Super J Cup (1994) he applies the move to The Great Sasuke. That tournament was from 1994. Could we please change the date from 1998–2007 to 1994-2007? Also, he did win the actual cup with a Gutwrench Suplex from the top (third) rope. Could we add it to the finisher or signature section?

Hi everyone, I was reading Chris's page and in the first phrase it says "Christopher Michael Benoit (/bəˈnwɑː/ bə-NWAH; May 21, 1967 – June 24, 2007) was a Canadian professional wrestler. He worked for various pro-wrestling promotions during his 22-year career, but is notorious for murdering his wife and youngest son.", I feel like the second part "but is notorious for" should be changed in "and is notorious for". Because he is not primarily famous for being a killer, instead he is famous for being a wrestler. Thanks ~2025-33563-30 (talk) 19:18, 14 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Not done. The current wording is fine. NotJamestack (talk) 20:16, 14 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Would Benoit be counted as a Grand Slam Champion due to the requirements of the achievement? World Heavyweight Championship, United States Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and Tag Team Championship. ~2026-10733-59 (talk) 17:02, 17 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Please only use the edit request template if you have a specific change to propose, not just a question about the article. Day Creature (talk) 21:42, 17 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
