POV tag

[edit]

Can you exaplain why you tagged this article as {{POV}}? I can't see any WP:POV in it myself. Thanks Gwernol 18:41, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh it was just vandalism and silliness. IP's have been making a jest out of this article for quite a bit as of late. Just revert when you see some nonsense creep in. -ZeroTalk 18:55, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Apparently, we've managed to irritate the nap-time escapee who blanked both of our pages. I placed a vandalism warning on his page. Popularity is fun! Arcayne 02:16, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Split?

[edit]

I'm not sure why we've split this into a list... - Tbsdy (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 06:06, 19 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Delete all items

[edit]

Unless there is any realistic possiblity that someone looking for the referents listed here would simply type in the word "Chris" and hit enter, let's delete them all. All of these things just happen to begin with the word "Chris", and if they were looking for these articles about these things they're going to type in some other words as well, unless there's reason to believe that any of them are commonly known as simply "Chris". Check the stats on this page, I bet "also refers to" links don't get used much if at all, and any use is probably more likely by someone who arrives here for another reason and then gets curious about them and clicks, but none are likely help to find something they were looking for. All this article needs to be is about the name in general. "C-H-R-I-S" searchers who end up here could be best served by being told that it's Greek, means "guy who carries the savior across the river" and so on. Then you we keep the "All pages" stuff on the off-chance that they haven't found what they wanted they can look there. Chrisrus (talk) 04:36, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Verification Question - citation does not support claim in article re: Chris as "mostly male"

[edit]

The first paragraph of the article states that "it is much more common for males to have this name than it is for females." It provides a citation pointing to mfnames.com. But if you read the page that is linked, it does not claim anything about Chris being mostly male. 73.149.17.105 (talk) 21:05, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Flagged it as not in citation.--Loriendrew (ring-ring) 21:35, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please add Chris Olave

[edit]

Saints WR Chris Olave is definitely noteworthy enough to be added to the list. Please do so soon.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:6011:2DF0:B670:F16D:96FD:E2BB:474C (talk) 02:08, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please change the second sentence's comma splice from
