I've removed a wrong piece of information. I'm italian, from Turin, and Chivasso borders Turin on the north side. Chivasso is not "the historical capital of Montferrat", for the simple reason that it does not lay in Montferrat at all!
The two largest towns laying in Montferrat are Asti and Casale Monferrato.
