I had fun. Well worth the $2 or whatever it cost to buy a jar of chipped beef in the supermarket. I ate it, too. Last time I had eaten it was about two decades ago. I think it will be no hardship to wait another two decades before trying it again. Dpbsmith (talk) 02:36, 7 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

I didn't feel it was necessary to mention this in the article, but we have chipped beef available in diners all over central Pennsylvania and Maryland. Rufusgriffin

SOS abbreviation going unexplained?

Hey there!

Had a change reverted explaining the unabbreviated SOS acronym, which is "shit on a shingle" in common parlance, removed as vandalism and otherwise being nonconstructive, it would otherwise go undefined.

According to Andrewa/Wikipedia is not vulgar, GTFO (song) by Mariah Carey explains defines the vulgar abbreviation in the title, and so on. The term is common, and according to wp:offensive material "In original Wikipedia content, a vulgarity or obscenity should either appear in its full form or not at all;".
