I’m not clear on the relevance of his father’s history of polio. Surely significant for the man himself, there’s no connection made to his son. It’s all awkwardly placed in the article. I’d suggest deleting it. - 104.162.105.40 (talk) 00:51, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Democrat here: I think it should stay, at least in part, as Roy has mentioned how the experience shaped his ideas about healthcare. Is he lying? The source says: "After studying commerce and getting a master’s degree in information systems at the University of Virginia, Roy worked for about three years as an investment banking analyst. But with all roads leading to Manhattan, he switched gears and attended law school at the University of Texas [...]".
I don't think "Wary that his career might require him to relocate to Manhattan" is a very good summary of that - to me the language reads figuratively, and it isn't clear that he actually told the journalist that he switched careers because he was "wary" of having to relocate to Manhattan specifically.
