Chinook Pass in June

[edit]

Planning a day trip to Chinook Pass summit on Saturday June 2 2007... is the trail around Tipsoo lake still snow covered? 08:59, May 30, 2007 64.242.52.23

The trail and lake are covered with about 10-feet of snow. You can still hike around as the snow is firm enough to keep you on top, but boots are advisable. That photo on the article page I took last year in June, it looks about like that right now. It is well worth the trip up, especially this weekend since it is suppose to stay warm/clear and photo's of Rainier are awesome.Mrhyak 02:27, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
