This is NOT ok

[edit]

now it has some structure

Er, it still sucks. Do we have to keep the table format? Would it be easier to read & edit if it was just a list?

Is this only for current labels? I'm no expert, but I'm still stunned not to see Wax Trax!, Reckless Records and Flying Fish Records not mentioned. What about the old blues labels? --Jaibe 19:28, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, this article is really confusing. It seems like a personal listing. Although this article was started in 2005, and has been edited over 50 times, it still has very low information content considering what it's trying to achieve, that is, the title implies that every Chicago record label will be listed in this article. It not only needs some structure, but also some definition. New vs old/defunct labels? The table format may not be the best thing here..? Maybe a general cleanup? I'm not sure what this article needs, but it needs something badly.

Alligator

[edit]

Someone should add Alligator Records. There's a good history of the label at their website. (JUL). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 201.254.28.58 (talk) 21:40, 26 February 2007 (UTC).Reply

Mercury Records

[edit]

Mercury Records was one of the major labels back in the day, and it started -- you guessed it -- in Chicago, before moving to NYC around 1980.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.238.165.63 (talk) 23:00, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I think it was defunct, then brought back to life just for Material Issue. -- Pete Best Beatles (talk) 03:18, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
