Chicago Bulls

I thought I had recalled the new Chicago Bulls having to shift a playoff game to the Coliseum when they unexpectedly qualified for postseason play. Indeed, the Wikipedia article on the International Amphitheater confirms this.

"It [the Amphitheater] was also the home of the Chicago Bulls during their inaugural season of 1966-67; they also played only one game in the Chicago Coliseum, a playoff game in their first season, as no other arena was available for a game versus the St. Louis Hawks. Afterwards, the Bulls then moved permanently to Chicago Stadium, not the Coliseum."

McCormick Place was unusable due to recent fire damage, and so some convention or other had taken over the International Amphitheater. Chicago Stadium was hosting hockey playoffs. So, this was the last pro basketball there. WHPratt (talk) 19:06, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

This fact got lost in one edit or another, so I added it back as a footnote. As it was the brand-new Bulls one-and-only appearance in the doomed old stadium, it has some historical significance. WHPratt (talk) 19:55, 17 April 2022 (UTC)

The Syndrome

I'm convinced "The Syndrome" venue needs its own article, including as it does seminal events in the Coliseum's final days. Agree? Nickrz (talk) 23:50, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

Dates don't match
