- As I explained in the "etymology" section, there is no such Aramaic word. It is sometimes spelled with aleph on the mistaken assumption that it is Aramaic, but in fact the Aramaic word would to chaburta. "Chevra" is the Ashkenazic pronunciation of Hebrew chavurah, not an Aramaic word. GordonGlottal (talk) 21:20, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
