Jack Straley Battell

[edit]

No history of Chess Review would be complete without some mention of Jack Straley Battell, its long-time Postal Chess editor and columnist. Unfortunately I am unable to do the research required to add a new section to the Article, but someone definitely should. Abenr (talk) 02:06, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nature of competition

[edit]

In what way did Chess Review compete with Chess Life? How did they compete? Did one offer "deals" that the other did not? Which of them was known for having more photographs than the other? The main page of this article would be improved if there were a detailed discussion of the competition they had engaged in, and entertained for the future. 216.99.219.120 (talk) 09:40, 29 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
