Suspected vandalism and undue weight

A large number of material has been added in the article regarding Chautisa in Bengali, but without any proper citation. There is only one citation to a Banglapedia, an unreliable and spurious source. It is clear from the available literature that the word 'Chautisa' is much more popular in the Odia tradition and that there are thousands of such compositions in Odia literature from several centuries ; a Google search confirms the relative weightage. Though compositions like the 'Chautisa' exist in Sanskrit, Bengali, Assamese and Maithili ; it's not clear if the word 'Chautisa' (an Odia word) is used in those languages at all. There should be a citation to confirm this.

Despite the Chautisa being primarily a genre of Odia literature, in the recent edit, in the introductory paragraph, the Odia word has been moved to second and Bengali has been added before it. Again, in the article the Odia content has been moved below and the Bengali content has been added first. This looks like clear bias. (There have been similar edits in the article on Pattachitra, moving Odisha content down the page with no logic given, undue weight) The article should focus on the dominant topic first, then move to secondary topics. See WP:NPOV "Giving due weight and avoiding giving undue weight means articles should not give minority views or aspects as much of or as detailed a description as more widely held views or widely supported aspects." Moving poorly cited content to the top of the page and relegating well-cited and primary facts further below is vandalism.

Requesting editors and admins to take note and kindly add better sources and structure the article so as to not mislead people by distorting what is major and what is minor. Prateek Pattanaik (talk) 18:04, 25 July 2023 (UTC)

Tagging @Lancepark who undid the last vandal edit, in which the editor had also added Bengali literature infobox to an article about *both* Odia and Bengali Chautisas ; edit from 49.204.160.132 IP. The editor has added the same content again from a newly created account without any previous edits WP:Sockpuppetry with no better citations. Prateek Pattanaik (talk) 18:12, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
