Signature
[edit]For many other historical figures, we have a signature. Messier's I found here http://www.flickr.com/photos/deepskyvideos/7361102960/sizes/o/ but I have no time or patience to trace it and to research whether it's public domain. Napoleon
[edit]xkcd sent me here... The quote about the booklet for Napoleon makes it seem like a grave and terrible thing that Messier did. To me this seems just a piece of trivia. I don't think we need to be so dramatic about Messier using his observations to seek favour with the current ruler. KarlFrei (talk) 20:47, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
